I’m Aly, a Scotland wedding photographer crafting cinematic, fine-art imagery for couples who see their love story as something worth immortalising. I’m based in the Scottish Highlands, travelling across Edinburgh, Glencoe, the Isle of Skye, and other international locations like Italy, France and the United States for luxury weddings, destination elopements, and intimate celebrations where artistry matters more than tradition.
I specialise in Scottish Highlands elopements and destination weddings across Europe and the USA, creating immersive visual narratives that echo the landscapes around you. Whether we’re standing beneath the Three Sisters of Glencoe, wandering through Edinburgh’s Old Town, or celebrating in a Tuscan villa, my focus is always the same. I want to create images that feel like heirlooms. Images that reflect who you are, not just how the day looked.

Meet the team
I’m Ben, the in-house Scotland wedding videographer for Aly Robinson Photography. I specialise in cinematic, atmospheric wedding films for couples who want their story told with depth, intention, and elegance.
I’ve spent most of my life behind a camera, with the last two years focused on weddings. What draws me to filmmaking is the quiet narrative of the day. The moments people don’t realise they’ll miss until time has passed. My approach is rooted in storytelling. I work with light, movement, and sound to create films that feel immersive and emotionally grounded. I’m not interested in trends that date quickly. I want your film to feel timeless and lasting.
Because I work exclusively within Aly’s brand, my role on a wedding day is seamless. When I’m not filming, I also work as a second photographer, which means we move intuitively together. There’s no disruption or competing for space, only calm, unobtrusive documentation.

I believe love is sacred, and every story deserves to be told with care.
I photograph without judgement, without assumption, without agenda — only with reverence.
You do not need to look a certain way, love a certain way, or believe a certain way to be seen here.
Come as you are.
In this space, you are safe.
You are art.
You are enough.
This is where legacy begins — with truth, with tenderness, with you.
Some memories ask to be still. Others ask to move.
Our films are crafted like symphonies — built from light, shadow, sound, and silence — to honour the way your love unfolds.
We approach motion the same way we approach stillness: with intention and intimacy.
These aren’t just wedding videos. They are living portraits. Heirlooms in motion. A way to return, again and again, to the way it felt.
Absolutely — I travel across Scotland, Wales, England, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Europe, and the United States to capture love stories in every landscape. Whether it’s a windswept isle, a sun-drenched vineyard, or a city full of history, I’ll be there with camera in hand, ready to tell your story with heart and artistry.
Ideally, I recommend booking 6 to 12 months in advance to secure your date — especially during peak seasons. That said, I do accept bookings up to 3 months ahead, depending on availability, so it’s always worth reaching out.
Yes, I collaborate with a trusted network of second shooters and videographers to ensure seamless coverage. I’m also more than happy to work alongside other creatives you choose to bring into your day — it’s all about crafting a team that fits your vision beautifully.
On average, you can expect your full gallery within 4 to 6 weeks — though during peak season, it may take up to 8 to 12 weeks. I always aim to deliver as swiftly as possible without ever compromising on the care and artistry your images deserve.
Your photos will be delivered through a beautiful private online gallery via Pic-Time, where you can view, share, and download both high-resolution and web-sized images with ease. It’s simple, secure, and designed to make reliving your day feel as special as the first time.
Yes, absolutely — I offer fine art albums and prints crafted with giclée printing techniques on museum-quality paper. Each piece is designed to be a timeless heirloom, turning your memories into works of art you can hold in your hands.
You’re not awkward — you’re human, and I’ve got you. I’ll gently guide you with prompts and natural movement so it feels more like a conversation than a photoshoot, helping you relax, connect, and just be yourselves. The result? Honest, beautiful images that feel like you.
Yes — I photograph all love, including LGBTQ+ couples. Your story is welcome here, celebrated fully, and honoured with the same care, artistry, and joy as every love I have the privilege to capture.
Yes, I offer a simple payment plan to make things easy and manageable. A 20% booking fee secures your date, with 50% of the remaining balance due two months before your wedding, and the final 50% due one month prior.
